As part of their coursework, students organized and facilitated several environmental strategies to prevent substance misuse including a community clean-up day, a campus drug take-back day, a post-card prevention campaign, and a drug and alcohol-free student social network. Additionally, students also assisted with the Fix Exhibit at Minnetrista and the Avondale neighborhood’s Trunk or Treat community event. Finally, in completing this course, the participating students will have met the educational requirements necessary to become the 1st-ever ICAADA-certified substance use prevention specialist associates (CPS-A) in the state of Indiana. </text>
