1843:  Fredrick Douglass Visited Indiana Cities

Douglass attended several abolitionist meetings in Indiana during 1843.  The Richmond meeting turned violent and Douglass was egged.  A week later, he spoke in Pendleton; again, a mob attacked.  Douglass barely escaped from Pendleton with his life.
