July 1980:  House is Firebombed

Muncie resident Sammie Williams was told, “I don’t have anything against you nigger, but no nigger has ever lived here, and you will not be the first.”  For 21 days, the Williams family endured numerous hateful acts.  Then the William’s house was firebombed.  The family lost everything except the pajamas on their backs and the sheets in which they had wrapped their children.
