March 2001: Klan Rally in Gary

Twenty-five Klansmen were outnumbered by more then 100 anti-Klan protesters at a Klan rally in Gary, a predominantly black city.  There was no interaction between the two groups, however.  250 police officers provided security at the rally.  Only two arrests were made.  One was for refusal of a police search and the other for driving around a police barricade.
