On the left pane is an object explorer, where clicking an AWS Item will highlight it in the dashboard.

From this screen the user can also zoom in, zoom out, click and drag items around, resize items, logout, go to Settings, as well as minimize, maximize, and close the window.

One may notice that our items have names like, "Faux Instance" or "Mock Bucket". Since running tests and making many API calls was starting to incur charges from AWS, we switched to developing and testing with mock AWS items.
