Welcome to the 2020-21 Immersive Learning Virtual Showcase!
Immersive learning projects are high-impact learning experiences that involve collaborative student-driven teams guided by faculty mentors. Students earn credit for working with community partners such as businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to address community challenges by creating a product that has a lasting impact.
Each semester, hundreds of immersive learning experiences are conducted across the various departments and colleges of Ball State University. While the COVID-19 pandemic has made it impossible to host an in-person event, faculty and students are using this virtual platform to share some of their project artifacts produced during the 2020-2021 academic year. To view exhibits, click on the “Browse Exhibits” button on the top left of this page.
This showcase also highlights the 2021 Immersive Learning Faculty Award winners. These faculty have demonstrated excellence in creating, mentoring, and implementing these high-impact courses. To view the awards video and stories for each faculty member, click on “Browse Exhibits” (above left) and click on “2021 Immersive Learning Faculty Awards.” Congratulations to these outstanding faculty, and we hope you will reach out to them to learn more about their community partners and projects.
Thank you for participating in our virtual showcase and all that you do to support immersive learning at Ball State.
