Purpose of event

The purpose of this event is to once again bring to the fore the importance of Police-Community relations. It is essential to continue to work on building trust between law enforcement and members of the community. This project will also generate ideas on improving and sustaining police-community engagement. We have partnered with the Whitely Community Council, Muncie Police Department and Ball State University Police Department for this event with the intention of creating a template for building stronger police-community relationships within the Muncie Community Promote police-community engagement events and programs such as; lunch with a cop, national night out, and citizens police academy
