Syra DeLongchamp Sarah (Syra) R. DeLongchamp

Syra is currently a junior in the Ball State Honors College. She was born in the far off corner of Michigan's Upper Peninsula known as Marquette. She spent her youth in the pine forests of the region, exploring the flora and fauna with her brother. As the years passed, she decided that she was going to study the natural world as her profession. This led her to microbiology, since she was always intrigued by the smallest parts of the forest. One day she hopes to investigate the microscopic parts of ecosystems, and what their contributions are to the health and vitality of the natural world. In her spare time, she can be found reading, sketching and painting, and practicing yoga or martial arts. She also has a addiction to Mel Brooks movies and other great spoofs, such as Airplane I and II, Loaded Weapon and anything by Jim Carrey. She worked on the author entries of Felix Stefanile, George Ade, Charles Deam, Juliet V. Strauss, and Roger Pfingston. She also worked on the Conservation and Preservation page, as well as the Take Action page.
