Bryan Fortriede Bryan Fortriede

Bryan Fortriede is a Senior studying Secondary Education in English. Although he had been told by all his friends that he should go into math rather than English, he chose English. Bryan is married to Lesley Fortriede, who is also a Secondary Education major at Ball State University. Outside of school, he is very involved with the youth program at his church, Union Grove Church of the Brethren. Bryan enjoys reading, which spurred his interest in this project. He has three pet cats who are named for characters from Lord of the Rings: Gandalf, Frodo, and Arwen. Bryan hopes to become a high school English teacher at a rural school somewhere in central Indiana.

Bryan became involved with this seminar to take a break from regular classes and concentrate on one project. He wrote articles on Oliver Johnson, Don Kurtz, Ross Lockridge, Jr., and Gene Stratton-Porter’s fiction. As part of the Development team, he helped create many of the page templates and links between web pages.
