Student Picture Howard Jankowski

Howard is an English major at Ball State University. He was born a native Hoosier in South Bend, Indiana, and continues to reside there. He enjoys spending time along the southern coasts of Lake Michigan as he appreciates the dunes and local beaches. He has also been known to explore a cave or two with the right motivation. He also enjoys creative writing, reading poetry, and viewing art films in his free time.

As a member of the Our Land, Our Literature colloquium through the Ball State Honors College, Howard learned several valuable skills for effective researching and developed a broader appreciation for Indiana’s natural environment.

Howard plans to pursue a master’s degree in creative nonfiction, and perhaps will be a future featured author on the Our Land, Our Literature website. Recently he contributed entries on Philip Appleman, William Herschell, and Charles P. Isley.
