Erick Rockwell and Joanne Bogart
The musical focuses on a group of high school students who are neatly divided into a variety of social cliques. One of the popular students gets elected class president, spends the budget on cheerleading supplies, and then bullies the lead character, Eric, into taking the fall by threatening to out him as a gay man to the school. Precocious elementary school youth spy on the villains, and expose the wrongdoing. Eventually, Eric stands up for himself, and the school community stands up to the bullies.
