Canadian Kat and Italian Eli just met online. Their dads are brothers, but Kat’s dad was kicked out because he is gay, and they have never met. They quickly form a bond because of their queerness and curiosity to learn more about their family. When Kat learns that Eli is trans, she raises money for him online to go to Toronto Pride, but it outs him, causing him to shut her out and him to get beaten up offstage. The two cousins, Eli’s brother, and Kat’s best friend explore complex familial relationships, questioning their sexuality, and finding their identities in their teenage years.
