What is Wayfinding?

Wayfinding isn't just about navigating the airport; it's also about communicating to the guests. Wayfinding is important in larger settings and buildings such as college campuses, theme parks, and even transportation facilities such as the Indianapolis International Airport. As the different routes to reach a destination become more complicated, people will start to require visual cues and directions in order to get to the place they are going. The airport already has wayfinding capabilities in place, but due to COVID, it's getting harder for people to find their way without coming into contact with others who may have COVID.
