The Muncie Animal Shelter takes in animals from various situations. They could be lost, dropped off or mistreated. Phil Peckinpaugh, director of the shelter, said that they get many calls where an animal is found on the premises of a drug crime. In this instance, the shelter has to work with the police to get the animal to safety.
In regards to meth, the shelter employees and responders have to take special precautions.
