Light/Dark

Light/Dark

I can’t tell you how the light feels, nor the dark.
I have experienced neither.
My eyes play tricks—
So much so, that I wake up at night and sleep in the day.
I can’t tell you what’s good or bad,
Only what is.
Only what’s there.
And even then, I still don’t know.
Occasionally, sprinkles of light adorn the stillness of the dark,
Seemingly blending the two opposites.
Greenery articulates itself amongst this mixture of light and dark,
Conversing in a pidgin language,
With each word breathing life into the stillness.
