Subject
Interior design for the ever changing future.
Description
Escape Space is a community center featuring a cafe, art gallery, and therapy spaces. It was designed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, both in concept and functionality, integrating Covid-safety into the design. The name "Escape Space" is a play on the escape room game. Each room on the second floor is designed as a unique environment, allowing the user to "escape" the monotony, chaos, or anxiety of their daily life. Three of the rooms are specifically designed for art therapy and three others for chromotherapy to help ease the stresses and anxieties that have been weighing on so many people in recent months. Located in downtown Indianapolis, it will serve as a place of respite and rejuvenation for the surrounding community.
