The garden portion of the honeybee exhibit is attached to the front of the hive.  This area allows visitors to see as a bee sees.  An ultraviolet light enables viewers to experience the difference between a human and a honeybee’s  vision.  At first, the flowers are viewed in the normal everyday way that humans see colors.  Once the visitors push the button to activate the ultraviolet light, they will see the flowers as a bee would see them.  The garden also contains a game in which children can “pollinate” flowers.  Children can use bee puppets to remove “pollen” from wooden flowers.
