Change of Plans Due to COVID-19

Ultimately it was decided by the student researchers and Dr. Bielski that the best way to proceed with the study would be to create an anonymous online survey that could be taken remotely by anyone who met the inclusion criteria of being 18 years of age or older and having shot a firearm in the last 18 months. During the summer of 2020 when this pivot in the methods of the study were taking place, the survey that would be used was also changing and growing. In the end a survey made up of 20 items was settled upon, with survey items being based off of previous studies and their item structure. Approval from the IRB was obtained in fall of 2020 and survey response collection began.
