The following results from the statistical analyses were shown in the video presentation and were included here for easier viewing.
This was a one-way ANOVA analysis to examine the interaction between the status of the perpetrator and the gender of the participant. The dependent variable was the perceived fault of the perpetrator (named "John" in the survey). There was a marginally significant gender effect wherein women overall saw John as more at fault. No other significant relationships were revealed.
These exploratory correlations were an attempt to isolate any relationships between the data that were not revealed by the ANOVA. There was a significant positive relationship between the perceived fault of the perpetrator and the recommended punishment. There was also a small, significant positive relationship between the perceived social status of the perpetrator and the degree of fault; this suggests that when the participants saw the perpetrator as of a higher social status, they perceived him to be more at fault for the assault. This is an opposite pattern to what was predicted in the hypotheses.
