The primary reason why the mobile wayfinding application was selected was that it scored high with guest knowledge. Guest knowledge prevailed as one of the most important factors for the airport, and this alternative provides information on both the layout of the airport as well as COVID policy updates and alerts. This solution is the optimal fit for solving the original problem statement, which is the airport needs to provide wayfinding directions and information to guests based on post-COVID improvements. This solution is a perfect platform for communicating changes at the airport regarding COVID and wayfinding. Not only does the optimal solution effectively answer the problem statement, but it also has the potential to amplify the effects of the other teams’ solutions. With the newsfeed feature in the application, other teams’ solutions will easily be able to have the other solutions marketed on the app. The application could serve as a unifying megaphone for the other solutions.
