Music is deeply ingrained in our society. Even when we're not consciously listening to it, music runs in the background of our lives: on buses, in stores, while we're on hold with our service provider. And it has an impact. Some songs, like "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, reinforce negative stigmas, standards, and stereotypes about sex and consent. Here, we want to focus on songs that do the opposite, songs that encourage love, support, and strength, and represent a culture where everyone is valued.
