Spatial distribution of soil texture

Spatial analysis of lead-contaminated soil properties using geographic information system (GIS)<br />

Soil texture describes the composition and percentage of sand, silt, and clay in a soil layer. Soil textural analysis by particle size analysis method is an essential part of any data set for assessing soil quality and its sustainability. Accumulation of lead in sandy soils increases the risk of lead poisoning when it becomes airborne. Spatial distribution of soil compositions allows determining the relation between the soil type and the lead content in the soil.
